- The chlorine granules provide 56% available chlorine to control algae growth, kill bacteria and destroy organic contaminants in hot tub water. The non-chlorine shock oxidizes contaminants and enhances the sanitizing effectiveness of chlorine.
- The stabilized chlorine granules protect against UV radiation from the sun, increasing the life of the chlorine. The non-chlorine shock also removes chloramines and bromamines that cause chlorine odor.
- The chlorine granules dissolve quickly and completely to provide a steady source of sanitizer. Using the non-chlorine shock increases the clarity of water and reduces eye burn.
- The chlorine granules include directions for start-up, regular use to maintain 1-3 ppm Free Available Chlorine (FAC), and directions for after each use to shock treat at 9 teaspoons per 500 gallons water.
- The non-chlorine shock directions recommend adding 2 ounces per 300 gallons after every use, running the pump for 30 minutes, and turning jets on/off once or twice.
